Parts Counter Sales Representative

Target Responsibilities:
• Sell parts to customers calling or walking into the store.
• Fill parts requests for the service techs.
• Participate in rolling inventory checks.
• Greet customers in a friendly and timely manner.
• Customer Service – Manage difficult or emotional customer situations.
• Respond promptly to customer needs.
• Solicit customer feedback to improve service.
• Respond to requests for service and assistance.
• Speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; respond well to questions.
• Follow all company and vendor policies and procedures.
• Adaptability – Adapt to changes in the work environment; Manage competing demands.

Daily Duties and Responsibilities:
• Begin each workday with a positive attitude by encouraging each counter person to meet his/her daily and weekly goals.
• Work to develop a sense of “team” in the parts department and across other departments.
• Ascertain make, year, and type of part needed, inspect worn, damaged, or defective part to determine replacement required, or inform customer of part needed according to description of malfunction.
• Discuss use and features of various parts.
• Read catalog or computer for replacement part stock number and price.
• Fill customer orders from stock.
• Prepare sales slip or sales contract.
• Receive payments, make proper change, and wrap or bag merchandise for customer.
• Receive and fill telephone orders for parts.
• Inform customer on substitution or modification of part when replacement is not available.
• Examine returned part to determine if defective, and exchange part or refund money.
• Receive and fill telephone orders for parts.
• Alert Parts Manager when stock is running low.

Weekly Duties and Responsibilities:
• Mark and store parts in stockroom according to prearranged system.
• Take inventory of stock, brochures, bulletins, manuals and publications, and present an accurate count to Parts Manager.
• Advise Parts Manager of trends in parts usage. Monitor aging inventory and present a report to Dept. Manager.
• Sweep and clean stock room.

Quarterly Duties and Responsibilities:
• Meet with Parts/Service Manager to discuss improvement processes needing implemented during the next quarter.

Annual Duties and Responsibilities:
• Meet with Parts/Service Manager to discuss year-end results, goals, and objectives for the upcoming year.

Requirements:
• Good Mechanical Ability
• Problem Solving Skills
• Excellent Computer Skills
• Evening & Weekend Availability is Required
• Prior Experience in a Related Position or Field
• Must Posses a Valid Drivers License
• Must Pass A Drug Test – If you cannot, do not apply.
• Entrance Test & Aptitude Test Required.
